One of the most violent detective series in TV history, “Mannix” tells the weekly adventures of private eye Joe Mannix, who originally worked for a high-concept computerized firm known as Intertect, but later opened his own agency at 17 Paseo Verde, Los Angeles, California. Season 4 Ep.7: The Other Game in Town

Victor Brady, a leader in the electronics business, runs up a gambling debt of nearly $250,000 to a Las Vegas casino. Brady’s private plane disappears from the radar on its way back to Los Angeles, but after his memorial service, his widow hires Joe Mannix to look for him, claiming that her husband is still alive and contacting her for help in raising the money to pay the casino. His investigation leads Mannix to that casino and the assorted people who work for it and who knew Victor Brady.

Mannix starts out in the corporate offices of Intertect, but soon moves into private employ, with a secretary and a batch of clients eager to hire a tough investigator with a touch of satisfaction in his cerebral grasp of the world.
