The Cimarron Strip was the border region between the Kansas Territory and Indian Territory during the late 19th century. Patrolling this vast area was the job of U.S. Marshal Jim Crown, who was based in Cimarron City.

Season 1 Ep.02: The Legend of Jud Starr
With a little help from his old gang, widely known outlaw Jud Starr slips the hangman’s noose and begins a law breaking rampage over the entire Cimarron Strip. Upon discovering that Starr and his gang are using the Cherokee Outlet as a place of refuge, Marshal Crown sets out to track them down.
Marshal Jim Crown must enforce the law in the strip of land lying between Kansas Territory and the Indian territory in the late 19th century. He is aided by the Scot, Mac Gregor, and the photographer, Francis Wilde. Easterner Dulcey has inherited her late father’s inn.
